Conway Springs, Kansas

Conway Springs, Kansas

When Captain Hiram M. Cranmer settled in central Kansas in 1877, he did not know that the land he had chosen was so abundently blessed. Until he began to plow his land he did not know that he had chosen land different from the usual Kansas claim - he had water!

Through the years "Bottled in Conway Springs, Kansas" has appeared on labels identifying the sparkling clear, 99.99% pure water from the natural springs in this south central community. Conway Springs' water is bottled and sold to hospitals, businesses and homes all across the region.

Today the spring house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is immortalized within the city park where visitors can still see the bubbling water as it freely flows into the encased pool.

Conway Springs' well-kept Central Park has a swimming pool lighted tennis courts, picnic facilities, a Scott Hut, bandshell and playground equipment.

Fall Fest is held in conjunction with a two-day rodeo. This celebration is filled with a parade and special events, and is highlighted with a community barbecue.
